Just sayin'.....drum mix could have been better

As a sound engineer and semi-pro drummer for over 40 years, I noticed that the snare drum and cymbals were barely audible for the first half of the show (I know it takes a few songs to get the mix right). So I politely gave my opinion to the sound engineer, who did notice my comment, gave me a thumbs up sign, and went back to mixing. However for the remainder of the show, it got no better. I moved all around venue, so I listened from every vantage point, including right behind the mixing desk, which is where I know is the best place to listen. If I'm going to pay $40 for ticket, $12 service fee, $5 parking, I expect to get not just an amazing light show, which it was, but a more importantly, a great SOUND. I don't appreciate that I had to say something, and it was still ignored. And I'm not saying this just because I'm a drummer...!
